Mrs. Turner was born in Middle Tennessee and had resided in Greene county about forty years. She is the mother of fourteen children, of who nine are living, among them being C.C. and A.C. Turner and mesdames S.A. Reed and Mary Dillard. Last June a large number of friends and relatives celebrated her eighty-fifth birthday at Turner station. Mrs. Turner has resided ten miles east of the James ever since she came to Greene county. At the age of 14 years she joined the Methodist church and has been a consistent member up to death. Her husband died during the war. The remains will be interred today by the side of her husband in the family cemetery."
