Lucius Pharr Abner, age 78, of Winter Park, FL, went to be with his Lord Thursday, Sep. 16, 2010. He was born in Winder, GA, and moved to the Orlando area in 1959. Pharr was a member of The Florida Bar. He was a principal shareholder in the Firm Turnbull, Abner and Daniels P.A., within which firm he practiced for more than 30 plus years. For the last 14 years, Pharr had the pleasure of being an Attorney of Counsel with the law firm Swann and Hadley, P.A. He received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia and his Law degree from the University of Florida. Pharr was very active in his church and his community where he held numerous positions on several boards. He served his nation proudly for four active duty years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
His parents: Lucius Preston Abner and Elmer Stancil Abner and his sister Lura Lee Cronic predeceased Pharr. Pharr is survived by: his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Lawson Abner; his two son's Brett P. Abner and Brian D. Abner; his daughter-in-law Michelle Abner; his grandson, Rett Abner; his granddaughter Aubrie Abner; his brother Bill Abner; and sisters Flora Shedd and Barbara Bowen. Pharr is also survived by his special nieces and nephews all who are very near and dear to him and the family.
