Music Hall Proprietor. He was the youngest child of Robert Grimes, tailor, and his wife Harriet. He married Emily Page in 1870, and in the 1871 census they were boarding at Mason Street, Lambeth. In the 1881 census he was a Tobacconist living with his wife and two daughters at 272 Westminster Road, Lambeth, Surrey. In 1891 he was a Licenced Victualler, and the family were living at the Union Arms, 48 Union Road, Clapham. He married Louisa Emma Watson nee Walker in 1899. In 1901 he was a Music Hall Proprietor living with his second wife and two stepchildren at 182 Brixton Hill, Brixton. He was living at Uxbridge House, Uxbridge Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, when he died aged 82 leaving an estate of £513 19s 1d.
