ABDUCTED DAUGHTER OF POLICEMAN FOUND DEAD
CUERO. Tex. (UPI) -
The body of a policeman's daughter, abducted Thursday night from the town swimming pool, was found Saturday floating in the Guadalupe River. Wendy Louise Adams, the 10-year-old daughter of patrolman Ronnie Adams. Jurek was held in jail in Victoria in lieu of $500,000 bond and officers questioned two other-men. The charge said the girl was choked to death. J u r e k was returned to Cuero for a few hours early Saturday from Austin, where he look a lie detector test. and made a statement saying he and two others threw, body in the river. The girl went 'swimming Thursday night after a 4-H Club junior day camp. She disappeared between 6:30 and 7 p.m Mrs. Clinton Wright, manager of the park clubhouse, earlier noticed her near a pickup truck. Later Thursday night, a motorist reported seeing a pickup like the one in the park "doing about 80 with girl in the back yelling and screaming." S h o r t l y after Thursday, police picked up a suspect and look him to Austin fora lie detector test.
