Ayline Smith Foster, age 82, of Buffalo Shoals Rd., Lincolnton passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at her residence.
Born September 25, 1927 in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Smith and the late Bertha Martin Smith.
Ayline and her husband, Gerald were blessed with 45 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memories: husband, Gerald Foster of the home; one son, Allen Sherrill and wife, Anna of Charlotte; one daughter, Mary Reynolds and husband, Jack of Denver; three grandsons, Danny Sherrill, Jason Sherrill, Brian Reynolds; one granddaughter, Kelly Seigler; three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held this afternoon, September 22, at 2 p.m. at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden with the Rev. Grady Parker officiating.
Burial will follow at Hull's Grove Baptist Church North Cemetery in Lincolnton.
The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. this afternoon at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden.
