Born in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and
Olevia Cook Helwig. She was the wife of the late Sam Leister.
A graduate of Westminster High School, she was a member of the
Westminster Church of the Brethren. Before retiring, she served as
assistant treasurer for 47 years at Farmers Mechanics Bank, now Carroll
County Bank and Trust.
Surviving are sister Dorothy E. Helwig of Westminster and one
niece.
Services are at 1 pm. Monday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412
Washington Road, Westminster with the Rev. Paul Groff officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home.
