George Gesell, near Smallwood, died Monday, March 11, 1935, at the Maryland General Hospital where he had been a patient the last four weeks. He was a well known farmer and active in the affairs of Trinity Lutheran Church, Smallwood. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Pearl Gesell, and two children, Mrs. Guy Owings and Luther Gesell, at home; also a granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Ervin Heagy, Westminster, and two brothers, John and Henry Gesell, Westminster. Funeral services were conducted from the home of the deceased's brother, Henry Gesell, in charge of his pastor, the Rev. W. Harold Redcay. Further services were conducted in Trinity Church and interment was in the cemetery adjoining. C.M. Waltz, funeral director.
