A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree

I hear a voice that whispers, 'Grieve not for me'

Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs

The good I lived while I was strong

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you

Keep on smiling, the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest

Remembering all…how I was truly blessed

Continue traditions, no matter how small

Go on with your lives, don't stare at the wall

I miss you all dearly so keep up your chin

Until that fine day we're together again.
~~~~~~~~
Eldest of the three sons of Manca (Mary) and Janos (John)Ferency, born in NYC, reared in Detroit, MI in the Del Ray area. Graduated high school at age 16, entered the US Army (Pre WWII)and sent home money to help put his younger brothers through college.
First marriage (Marjorie Geraldine Kozinski March 26 , 1922 - September 03 , 2022) produced two sons. Second marriage to Elizabeth Drane produced a daughter.
Electrical engineer with Hancock Industries by profession, where he was Manager of the Product Analysis Department. He was responsible for Cost Estimate coordination Data Processing, Systems and Procedures, and Product Cost Analysis.
Hobbies included photography (developed his own photos in his basement dark room), working on electronics, reading, gardening, golfing, bowling (the latter two of which he was proficient enough to net several trophies). He loved to play chess, games with the family and listen to classical and Hungarian music. He was a sharpshooter. Handyman's handyman, could do everything from lay a sidewalk, build a home addition or build a TV or radio, paint, or build simple furniture with equal ease.
Enjoyed fine wines and a good cigar. Loved nature, art, beauty in all forms and travel. Self taught violin player. Brilliant. Meticulous. Loved his family and living a quiet life. Known for his sharp wit and dry humor.
