Funeral services for Jack Jason Remer, 68, of Danville were held Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 2 pm at Egypt Freewill Baptist Church. Burial followed at Egypt Cemetery at Blue Ball under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron. Mr. Remer died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at his home in Danville. He was a farmer, rancher and cabinet builder, member of Egypt Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and adult Sunday School teacher. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was preceded in death by his father, Donald Remer and a son, Adam Remer. Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Jason Remer of Fairfax, Virginia and Aaron Remer of Russellville; his mother, Millie Remer of Danville; two sisters, Donna Jane Stewart of Kansas City, Missouri and Grethen Gay of Olatha, Kansas; and twenty grandchildren. Pallbearers were Glenda Vaughn, Becky Wilkins, Patricia Millard, Lisa Fowler, Sheila Millard and Shell Solley. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Leeper, Chuck Pickett, Roy Wilkins, Lonnie Apple, Shane Millard, Jackie Allen, Terry Solley and Stacy Fowler.
