JONESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Melvin Guy Treadwell of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001 at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. at Tara Garden Chapel in Jonesboro with the Rev. Aida Beltran'Gaetan officiating. Burial will follow in Crouch Cemetery in Gay, Ga.

Mr. Treadwell is survived by his wife, Nancy Treadwell of Jonesboro; two grandsons, John Michael Wilson II and Harry Reese Wilson, both of Fairburn, Ga.; and two sisters, Polly Hogg of Columbus, Ga., and Resa Pollard of Lanett.

Mr. Treadwell served in the Army during World War II. He was employed in the field of hospital maintenance. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Treadwell Wilson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tara Garden Chapel.
