Funeral Services for Jennie V. 'Mrs. Jennie' Scoggins, age 90 of Manchester will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 10, 2010, at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kerry Walker and Pastor Scott Parkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Farrar Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 9 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Jennie passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Jennie was born February 28, 1920 in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Whit and Lillian Boswell Osborne. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Sandra Dudley; brothers, Bill and Murell Osborne; sisters, Lucille Partin, Lottie Tucker, Louise Bell, Mildred Davis, Edith Green, Clara Bingham, and Rosa Bingham.
Mrs. Jennie is survived by her husband, John Scoggins, who would have celebrated 50 years of marriage September 7, 2010,; three sons, Charles Dudley and his wife Norma of Tullahoma, Johnny Scoggins, Jr. and his wife Sharon of California and Kenneth Dudley of Tullahoma; sister, Lola Pitts of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; eleven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church 1513 McArthur St. Manchester, TN 37355
