She married Charles B. Johnson on February 19, 1939 in Chariton County.
She graduated from Marceline High School and received a BS Degree from North East Missouri State in Kirksville. She went on to become a teacher for various rural schools in Chariton County, teaching her last 38 years at Keytesville. She was the founder and charter member of Keytesville National Honor Society and the Missouri State Retired Teachers Association.
Services were under the direction of Rev. Cameron Slater.
