Elmer W. King, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, September 15, 2006. Elmer was a member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ and was retired from Combustion. After retirement, Elmer served with the School Patrol, City of Chattanooga, for eight years. Elmer's wife, Sarah L. "Sally" King, preceded him in death on April 30, 2003.

Survivors include his son, Larry J. Miles of Cleveland; sister, Nina Ruth Dubois, Shelbyville, TN; brothers, A. B. King of Bell Buckle, TN and Carlisle King, Murfreesboro, TN; two granddaughters: Tracy Rhudy of Dalton, GA and JoAnn Miles of Chattanooga; one grandson, Bradley Lane of Chattanooga; one great-granddaughter, Heather Ruhdy of Dalton, GA; one great-grandson, Kenneth Ruhdy of Dalton, GA; one great-great-granddaughter, Sarah Wallace; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister Eddie Rechard officiating.
