William E. "Putchie" Pickett, 50, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2010. He was born October 28, 1959, to the late William Edward Pickett of signal Mountain, Tennessee, and Cora Lee Skiles.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Pickett; brother, Donnie Lee Plank; sister, Rita Joyce Hood; and his beautiful daughter, Shannon Dean Wright.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Betty Jo Wright; daughters, Sherry Wright, Amanda Wright, and Carolyn Wright; son, Shane Eugene Wright; brothers, Tommy Plank, Charles Pickett, Bubby Plank, Walter Edward Pickett (Brock), Darryl William Pickett (Brock); sisters, Jennifer Rebecca Pickett (Ridley), Melissa Sue Pickett (Adcock), Crystal Gayle Pickett (Parker); 17 grandchildren who were the love of his life; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws whom he was loved by and will be sadly missed by.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Gary Jared of Stuart Heights Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Granny Walker Cemetery.
