William M. Huffman Jr., 48, of Newport News died Saturday (June 5, 1971) in Newport News.
He was born Dec. 17, 1922 in Augusta County, a son of William M. and Daisy (Moran) Huffman. He served with the Navy in the Pacific during World War II.
Surviving, in addition to his parents who reside at Raphine, are his widow, Mrs. Minnie (Gregory) Huffman; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Hollis and Miss Bonnie L. Huffman and two sons, Robert and Eddie Huffman, all of Newport News; six brothers, Earl E. of Greenville, Roy L of Simpsonville, Md., John J. and Charles L., both of Staunton, Harry H. of Arlington, and Lewis H. Huffman of Lyndhurst and four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Tomas of Verona, Mrs. Lucille Hite of Newport News, Mrs. Maybelle Moran of Pottstown, Pa. and Mrs. Margaret Marshall of Staunton.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from Old Providence ARP Church by the Rev Laughton L. Corr, pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Old Providence Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be selected from friends the day of the service.
The body is at the Rosen Funeral Home, Middlebrook, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7:30- 8:30 o'clock.
