Spec Bryn Todd Raver, 20, of Harrison, Arkansas and Capt_Ellery_R._Wallace, 33, of Salt Lake City, Utah, were attacked and killed on August 28, 2010, when when their vehicle was struck by rocket propelled grenades while on patrol in Nangahar, Afghanistan.

Spec Raver was a military policeman assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team.

He entered the Army in February 2008 and arrived at Fort Campbell in August 2008. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Unit Citation, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, and the weapons qualification - M4 expert.

He was survived by his wife (also in the military), who lives at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, his daughter in Alpena, Arkansas, and his father of Everton, Arkansas.

Funeral services for Spec Raver were be held on September 11, 2010 in Harrison, Arkansas. After the services he was driven one final time through the Ozark mountains to the Silver Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6p.m.-8p.m. Friday September 10, 2010 at Roller-Christeson Funeral home in Harrison. His funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community Church, 2658 Old Bergman Road in Harrison with burial following at Silver Hill Cemetery in St. Joe.
