We appreciate the fact that in spite of the great sorrow that has come into his life, the editor of the Aspermont Star does not wish to miss a single issue. He has asked the writer to fill the regular column. The writer, assisted by the pastor of the Methodist Church in Strawn, held the funeral service of Mrs. Garner Wednesday afternoon. After having talked to former neighbors and childhood friends of Mrs. Garner, we appreciate her life even more. Mrs. Garner had a smile for everyone. She was noted for her kindness. She was a good Christian and loved the church. She was a good companion to her husband, sharing with him in all the joys and sorrows common to human life. She was a good mother. In talking to her boys, she held a place in their hearts that only a good mother can hold. Quite a number from Aspermont attended the funeral. She was buried in the beautiful cemetery in Strawn, her home for many years.
