She was born on May 22, 1943 in Midland. She attended Midland and Sanford schools. Diane was predeceased by her first husband, James E. Welton. She married John E. Miller on Dec. 7, 1984 in Midland. She attended the Christian Celebration Center and was the head of "card ministry" at the church. She was active in AA and enjoyed painting, ceramics, gardening, and raising flowers as hobbies.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Miller, her parents, Cecil L. and Dorothy M. (Clark) Seaman of Sanford; one step son, Matthew and Barbara Miller of New Jersey; one step daughter, Martha and Don Tanner of California; one sister, Pretoria and Larry Maxwell of Hope; three step grandchildren, Joshua, Anthony and Stephen Tanner; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mariam and Howard Badgero; one niece, Nacole; and two nephews, Mark and Terry.
Funeral services for Diane will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St., with Pastor Mitzi Nimmo of the Christian Celebration Center and Pastor Jim Pauquette of the New Hope Church of God will officiate, with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Diane's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
