Walter was born July 27, 1921 in Decatur, EL., son of William and Ada (Trueblood) Bledsaw. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Petrowsky on July 5, 1941.
He was a lifetime citizen of Decatur. He and his wife had six children. Both gave their hearts to Jesus in 1981. Walter worked 2 fulltime jobs to support his family and retired from both A.E. Staley's and the Concrete Finisher's Union. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW. II in the Seabees.
He loved his church family at Parkway Nazarene Church. He loved to work puzzles, babies and this beautiful world God created. He was the best Dad.
Walter is survived by son; Rev. R. James Beldsaw (Lynette) of Chanhassen, MN., daughter; Judy Huffaker (Decie) of Murfreesboro, TN., son Bill Bledsaw (Priscilla) of Decatur, daughter; Kathy Eytchison (Patrick) of Lincoln, IL., daughter; Debra Summerlott (Marc) of Decatur, brother; Jack Bledsaw of Bolingbrook, IL., and special friends Art and Helen Smith and Lum Tipsword. We will miss his great sense of humor. We rejoice knowing that he is once again with his wife "Dorcie" and so many of his loved ones who have passed.
