The son of a former Barnesville resident was laid to rest amid full military rites Tuesday afternoon in Wadsworth. The young man was Sgt. Donald Perkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Perkins of Wadsworth. He was killed in Vietnam on April 10, just a month before he would have completed his tour of duty there.
Sgt. Perkins mother is the former Dorothy McConnell of Barnesville. He was born Jan 12, 1950.
Funeral services were held from the Hilliard Funeral Home in Wadsworth with the Rev. Kenneth Klein officiating. Burial was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
