Funeral services were held January 29 for Lordsburg resident Minnie Ethel Alsobrook. Mrs. Alsobrook was born in Hobbs, on November 28, 1886. She passed away in Lordsburg, on Wednesday, January 26, 1977. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Alsobrook, a Tucson realtor. Survivors include her daughter Mrs. R. B. Willis of Phoenix, AZ, four grandsons and one granddaughter and a number of great grandchildren. She attended public schoold in Sliver City and Lordsburg. For the past 40 years, she has lived in Lordsburg and managed the Sunset Hotel. The funeral service was conducted by Ernest Galloway of the Church of Christ Chapel and she was then taken to Phoenix, AZ for burial.
