GEORGE BARTON DAVIS
Died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Cooper of 2408 Twelfth street last night at 11.10 o'clock after an extended illness. He was born in Clappertown, the son of Jesse L. and Alice (Nepper) Davis and was the last surviving member of his family. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Davis; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Cooper; and a niece, Mrs. Lloyd Lingenfelter. He was a charter member of the Grace Methodist church, a member of the Goodwill Men's Bible class, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the Modern Woodmen.
