Albert F. Hendricks
Albert F. Hendricks, longtime Ponca City resident, died Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at Hillcrest Manor in Blackwell. He was 82.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 1998, at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Larry Heslip, First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home.
Albert F. Hendricks was born April 13, 1916, in Nowata, to Albert and Laura (Hibbs) Hendricks. He attended schools in Udall, Kan., and graduated from there. He then entered service with the U.S. Navy during World War II and served until 1945.
Following his military service, he was employed with Continental Oil Company and retired as head operator in the Light Oil Division. He retired in 1978 after more than 30 years of service with Conoco. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and was an amateur inventor.
Survivors include: his wife, one daughter, one son, one brother, two sisters, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
