Services are 11:00 Am Thursday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Burial is in the Woodhull Cemetery.

She was born December 12, 1949 in Allenville, Wisconsin a daughter of Ray and Lenore Cummins Hamer. She graduated from Pontiac Twsp High School and attended Evergreen Beauty School in Evergreen Park, Il. On September 21, 1968 she was united in marriage to Dennis R. Patterson at the Alpha Baptist Church. He died October 10, 1992.
Sharon owned and operated her own Beauty Shop in Alpha and Ophiem, Il and was later employed as a Clerk with Growmark Distribution Center in Alpha for 26 years retiring this year.
She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed doing craft work and sewing. Sharon took great pride in her home and yard and was the first recipient of the Alpha Beautification Award. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorie (Rick) Hungate of Joliet, Il, 2 sons, Michael "Fat Rock" Patterson of Alpha, Ron (Sherry) Patterson of Florida, 3 grandchildren Jack and Riley Ann Hungate of Joliet ,Cherish Traff of Florida and a brother Gary Hamer of Alpha, Il.
