Although her first name was Mary, Ethel preferred to be called by her middle name, Ethel. That is how all of us on her husband's side of the family knew her.

Ethel Arnold was the daughter of Kendall Webb, Jr. and MaryJosephine "Molly" Isabell. She was a much-loved woman.

Ethel and her husband, Richard Lee "Dick" Arnold, would be married nearly 20 years before fate smiled upon them and brought the first of their two children into the world.

On February 12, 1939, in Fort Worth, Ethel and Dick joyfully welcomed the birth of their long-awaited child, a daughter, Norma Sue. Sue was joined by their second and last child on July 16, 1943 when Janey Lee was born. At long last, the family unit was complete.

Less than two years after welcoming little Janey into the world, Ethel died after a long battle against cancer.

Although very young when they lost their dear mother, she lives on in ever-dimming memories and in the face of her youngest daughter who bears a remarkable resemblance.

She is still missed, but lives on in her children.
