RICHARD G. "DICK" SPICER WAS A "SPECIAL" FRIEND TO MANY.

DICK always had something good to say about everyone. DICK traveled the world around, and had many stories to share about those travels and folks he met while traveling.

Many thought DICK had a "dirty" sense of humor and at times he did; but he was a kind, considerate and caring person. He was an excellent cook, storyteller and writer. He authored a few books and published many stories and articles.

DICK enjoyed helping folks. He spent the last 12 years working with people in recovery. He was with Father Joe's St. Vincent de Paul Villages, Pathfinders of San Diego and other San Diego recovery organizations. He had been employed with SOBER TIMES in San Diego, in the mid 1990's.

DICK, along with his other jobs, also managed apartment complexes in San Diego, including the famed Gill designed "O'Rourke Apartments" on Fifth Avenue in Banker's Hill and most recently the St. Francis Apartments, in Linda Vista. DICK took care of his tenants and in turn DICK'S tenants always loved him.

DICK WILL BE MISSED.....by his Friends, tenants and all who knew him. I am so grateful to have met Dick on my journey here...

(I may have to edit this, as I am very emotional writing this. DICK'S MEMORIAL SERVICE IS: 12 SEPTEMBER 2001, 1PM, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in SAN DIEGO)If you can't attend, please be there in spirit; DICK will appreciate it.

...Au revoir Dick...Je vous aime...

REST IN PEACE...MY FRIEND DICK SPICER.
