Donald C. Walker, son of William (Brud) and Sarah Walker, was born Feb. 8, 1911 in Edwards County, near West Salem, Illinois and departed this life January 18, 1979 at the age of 67 years 11months and 10 days, at his home in Clay City, Illinois.

In August 1927, he was baptized and became a member of the marion Christian Church where he remained a member until his death. On Nov. 10, 1934 he was married to Madge Stover. This union was blessed with three children; a son Darrel, and two daughters Betty and Carol Sue. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Madge and his son Darrel.

On Feb. 8, 1970, he was married to Mamie Musgrave of Clay City.

Donald spent most of his early life as a farmer of rural West Salem and later became an employee of Valley Steel of Flora where he worked until his retirement.

Donald will be missed by his wife, Mamie, daughters, Betty Kolb of Princeton, IN and Carol Sue Ibbotson of West Salem; a stepson, Marvin Musgrave of Tuscon, AZ; two sisters, Mildred Stover of West Salem and Wilma Bennett of R.R. Albion; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
