Brooke fought a hard, 5-year battle with childhood cancer. She had Hodgkins' Disease. She spent the last 8 years of her short life in Eudora, KS, a town she loved very much. There her passion was the annual ACS Eudora Relay For Life Cancer Benefit, which helped her bring Eudora to its feet.
She was a champion fighter for research to end childhood cancers.
Her mother is Judith Ann Feeback O'Grady. Her father is Michael Ward O'Grady. Her siblings are Keven, Bryan, Graecinda "Cindi" Tedder, Robyne "Lisby" Pippert, Tyler and Trevor. She was a wonderful aunt to: Cailan, Sean and Derek, children of Keven & Gayle O'Grady; Jessica, Matt and "Little" Tyler, children of Bryan & Nancy O'Grady; Taylour & Austin, sons of Troy & Cindi Tedder; Samantha, Haleigh & Joshua (1 of his middle names is Brooks, after her), children of Daren & Robyne Pippert; unborn child of Tyler & Jenny O'Grady. Great-aunt to Jeremiah, son of Jessica. Brooksie was also the proud owner of Max and Jeremy, two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Along with her family, two of Brooke's closest friends, Julie Harman and Ashley Moran, are carrying on her tenacious endeavors to raise money to help erase the disease that took her from us.
