Henry Baltzli, 51, former resident of this city, died suddenly Monday afternoon at his home in Moberly, MO, according to word received here by relatives. No particulars were given as to the cause of his death.
The deceased was born in Peru, January 7, 1878, (see note) the son of Dieboldt and Margaret Baltzli. The family formerly resided at 321 East Third Street. Mr Baltzli was employed as an engineer on the Wabash railroad going to Moberly, Missouri about thirty years ago to make his home. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs Fred Rabe of Wabash, and Mrs C A Finster of Kansas City, MO and one brother, Gustave W Baltzli of Lima, Ohio.
The body will be brought here arriving tomorrow morning at 7:35 over the Wabash and will be taken to the Fetter-Allen Mortuary where it will be held until time of the funeral services. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

The body of Henry Baltzli, Wabash engineer, who died suddenly from apoplexy at Moberly, Missouri yesterday, arrived in Peru over the Wabash railroad at 7:45 o'clock this morning and was taken to the Fetter-Allen mortuary. The body was accompanied by a brother-in-law and sister, Mr and Mrs C A Finster of Kansas City, and an escort of six members of the Brotherhood of Railway Engineers of Moberly, of which the decedent was a member.
A short service was held at Moberly last evening and funeral services will be conducted from the Lutheran church here, of which the deceased was a member, at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
