Charles Foster Wood was the 12th of 16 children born to Thomas L. Wood & Jane Collins Wood. He served in the CSA, joining at age 16. After the war, he married Margaret Lindsey Wragg, whose husband, Samuel Wragg, Jr. had died in the war, leaving her with 4 children. They moved to Hill Co. Tx in 1866; then shortly moved across the Brazos River to Fowler, Bosque Co. They had 5 children.
