June Rose Alexander
June Rose Alexander, 72, of Midland, died at the Toni & Trish House on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was born April 30, 1940, in Midland, to the late Gerald B. and Emma Marie (Carl) Krotzer. On Sept. 4, 1959, she married her sweetheart, James Alexander, in Midland.
June was the neighborhood cookie lady, all the kids in the area knew she always had cookies for them. She loved crocheting, sewing, knitting, baking and gardening. June also loved flowers and planted some every year, and when she was young she loved horses.
June is survived by her loving husband, James; daughter, Debra (Tom) Waskevich; son, Matthew (Mary) Alexander; grandchildren, Christopher, Emily and Lauren McGuire, Justin and Jeremy Alexander; brothers, Don and Howard; and sisters-in-law, Ruth and Darlene.
June was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Davis; and her brothers, Gerald, Carl, Ray and Lawrence.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, with Pastor Don Duford officiating.
