Sheley, 42, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, at her home after battling cancer. Sheley was born the daughter of Orris and Bonnie (Morrison) Purdy. She was a lifetime resident of the area.
Sheley was employed for twenty four years with LaBelle Management, working at the Sweet Onion, and the Italian Oven. She was honored as Employee Of The Month twice. She enjoyed everything having to do with horses, working with cross stitch, painting, and watching all of her old favorite television shows on TV Land.
Sheley is survived by her sisters, Elaine and Bill Downing of Mt. Pleasant, and Sharon and Charles Davis of Riverdale, Michigan. Also surviving are eleven nieces and nephews, and twenty two great nieces. Sheley was especially close to her niece, Tara. She was preceded in death by both parents, and a sister, Susan Bowerman.
Memorial services were held on Friday, August 13, 2010 in the Helms Chapel of the Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Day officiating. Interment of Sheley's cremated remains will be with her parents. Memorials in Sheley's memory may be made to Hospice of Michigan. The family would like to thank LaBelle Management for their help and caring for so many years during Sheley's employment and making sure that she had a job she enjoyed doing. Also thanks to Dave McGuire for his concern for Sheley and looking after her living arrangements. And lastly, for all of the loving care Sheley and her family received from Hospice of Michigan.
