Jean Baptiste Thomas Bordelon was the "Controlleur de vivres de la marine" in LaRochelle (France) in 1696 and the "Directeur des vivres de la marine" at Rochefort in 1711. As of 1715, he was still employed by the Compagnie des Indes in the Charente-Maritime Department in France. He signed a marriage contract with Madeleine Richouf dit Champgautiers on 13 October 1690. The couple divorced between 1717 and 1719.
