James Sanford Rosser was born on September 6, 1930 to Hugh Ovid Rosser and Eunisee Talulah Agnew Rosser. He was one of six children. His brothers William and Hugh, and both sisters, Marion and Doris, preceded him in death. Jim was married twice during his lifetime, the first to Margaret Jean Ellis (DePena) and then remarried after their divorce in 1974. At his passing he was survived by three children, three grand-children, and one great-grandchild. He was also survived by his second wife and her child (whom he adopted), and her grandchildren.

Jim was a veteran of the Korean War era and served in the US Air Force. As a realtor and property developer, Jim found great success in developing many commercial interests in Florida, Georgia, and throughout the South. Throughout his life, Jim had a love of fishing, living, and laughing. Jim enjoyed a lifetime of remarkable health, prosperity, and well-being until shortly before his death on August 26, 2009.

Jim loved to tell his children stories of his childhood in Miami, FL and the times when he and his brothers would go off in search of treasures all day long. His father, Hugh "Dutch" Rosser, was a City of Miami Fireman with Station 4 in Miami, FL. His mother was a homemaker her entire life, becoming a widow in the 1930's with six children to raise.

He was particularly proud of his family heritage and historic bloodline, and their history of service to our beloved United States from the Revolutionary War forward. A lover of history, he enjoyed discussing the history of the United States and the Biblical framing of our Constitution.
