E.G. Haunfelner Dies After Long Illness
Was Born in Rome 29 Years Ago - Vereran of World War and Popular

Edward G. Haunfelner died at his home, 15 Lake Street, Saranac at 3:30 o'clock this morning after a long illness. His condition became serious on April 16 and his mother, Mrs. Theresa Haunfelner, and sister, Miss Minie, of this city, were with him from that time. The remains will be brought to his mother's home here later this afternoon or this evening.

Mr. Haunfelner was born in Rome 29 years ago and always lived here until going to Saranac two y ears ago last January. He was a veteran of the World War, a member of St. Mary's Church, Rome Council, No. 391, Knights of Columbus and of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church. Of a gentle and pleasing personality, gracious, kind, and thoughtul, Mr. Haunfelner had an unusual number of friends who deeply regret his taking away in the prime of life, and much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family.

Mr. Haunfelner was employed for 12 years by the Rome Manufacturing Co.

Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Haunfelner is survived by two sisters, Misses Minnie and Mary, and one brother, George of this city.
