Albert served as a First Lieutenant, 13th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in San Francisco County, California & was a member of the California National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on March 3, 1941, prior to the war, from San Francisco, California. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a Office Clerk and also as Single, without dependents.

Albert was "Killed In Action" near Brest, France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

His brother, Pvt. Gerald M. Bidgood, "Died While A POW" of the Japanese Army in the Philippines during the war in France.
