Born in Bracebridge, Ontario - the family moved to Vancouver, BC approx 1904 to join his mother's family and extended family (May's & Tait's)

WW I Note: Private, 29th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (British Columbia Regiment). Died of gun shot wounds. Someone from his own infrantry was cleaning his gun, and Charles was shot. His parents were living at 1765 Eighth Avenue West, Vancouver, British Columbia. Never married
