REPORTED KILLED"

"Mr. and Mrs. Willard Goff of Merom rural route one have received a telegram from the War Department informing them of the death of their son, Sergeant Ivan P. Goff, 33, of the United States Army on the 15th day of August, while participating in action against the enemy in France. He was previously reported missing on the day he is now known to have been killed."

"Prior to his enlistment in the Army, Sgt. Goff was employed by the Linco Refinishing Company of Robinson, Illinois. He was a member of the Armored Engineers and was sent overseas in September of 1943."

"Sgt. Goff is survived by the widow, Mrs. Betty Goff, formerly Miss Bety Brodie of this city; one son, Thomas Eugene Goff of Terre Haute; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Goff of Merom rural route; three sister, Joan Goff at home, Mrs. Dorothy Laughrey of Carlisle, and Mrs. Lydia Gray of Shelburn; and two brothers, Corporal Kenneth Goff of the United States Army and Ival Goff of Robinson, Illinois."
