Carl Andrew Branson was the son of Edward Branson (1857 - ? ) and Caroline Louise Roedel (1858 - 1944). He married Mazie Irene Helman in about 1917, and she was the daughter of Nancy (Crane) and Walter W. Helman of Lorain County, Ohio. While he completed a WWI Draft Registration card in Cuyahoga County, Ohio in 1918, they were residing in Midland, Michigan, by 1920.
