Served with the 8th Air Force, 98th Bomb Group, 330th Bomb Squadron in England.
Flight Engineer/ Top Turret Gunner on the B-24 Liberator bomber, "BIG DEAL".
Assigned temporary duty to Gambut Main Air Field, Libya, North Africa. Killed in action on January 10, 1943 while on a mission over the Mediterranean when his aircraft experienced a problem which caused it to crash near Bir el Khamsa, Egypt.
