Ella is the 1st of 3 daughters of Gustave Bronson and Carrie Vedum, Norwegian immigrants. Ella's younger sisters died young (Clara Amanda age 4, Clara Viola age 1). In 1905, Ella married Albert J. Wedum, who was her mother Carrie's first cousin, also from Norway (the names Wedum and Vedum are interchangeable, and in the Norwegian tradition, represent the name of the farm or town on which they lived). Their only child is Clara Bernice "B" Wedum Hancock. Ella was known to her grandchildren as "Bamma". At the time of her burial, this cemetery was known as Sunnyside Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
