24 Mar 2021 Updated information from my cousin, Norman: Marie Dorothee Krieter, born 5 Mar 1853 at 3:30 am, was born in Heemsen to Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Krieter from Heemsen and his wife Charlotte Dorothee Sophie née Pinne. Marie and her twin brother, Friedrich Heinrich Diedrich Krieter, born 2 hours earlier, with both baptized 13 Mar 1853. She arrived in New York on 29 May 1874.

Mary was born in Nienburg, Lower Saxony. She was the 2nd wife of Bernhard Hoeckelberg, whom she married on 13 Oct 1875 in Elmhurst, Illinois. She and Bernhard had 9 children: Helena Frederika Wilhemena SCHOLZ, Frederick John HOECKELBERG, Charles John HOECKELBERG, Henry Emil Arnold HOECKELBERG, Johannah Friedrika Helena TETZLOFF, Bernhard Johann Christian HOECKELBERG, John Chirstian HOECKELBERG, William Henry HOECKELBERG, and Mamie Augusta Frederika MAGNUSON.
