"MRS. JOHN A. BERRY DIES AT AMAZONIA

"Mrs. Mary Margaret Berry, widow of John A. Berry, was born in Gotland, Sweden, February 22, 1856. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Sweden in 1871, and emigrated to the United States in 1877. She was married to John A. Berry April 9, 18_0, at St. Joseph, removing to Amazonia in 1881. She united with the Amazonia Methodist Episcopal Church in 18__.

"Surviving are three children: Miss Clara Berry and Frank A. Berry of Amazonia and Mrs. E. J. Hall, Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, John and Mary Hall, and two sisters, Mrs. John Pr_____, Osage City, Kans., and Miss Anna Segergren of Sweden. She departed this life after a lingering illness on April 22, 1928, aged 72 years, 1 month and 11 days.

"The funeral service was held from the Methodist Church at Amazonia on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. H. McNa___, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church at Cameron, and a lifelong friend of the family, officiating. Interment was made in the Amazonia cemetery.

"Thus another of God's noble women has passed to her final reward and to the deeply bereaved family the love and sympathy of the entire community will be sincerely extended."
