According to information found on the internet, Lee spent his childhood and teenage years with his grandparents in Berwick, Pennsylvania. He entered the army in September 1940, and, with the 513th, trained at Fort Benning, Georgia, in August 1943; serving in the European Theatre of Operations attached to the 17th Airborne Division. The 513th fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and it was during this battle that Lee was killed in action near Bastogne, Belgium
Efforts are underway to contact Lee's family (Thomas Thrash) and to further transfer this memorial sight to them. So far, no valid e-mail address has been found. Several additional pictures were available on-line and are attributable to his family.
