Born Nov 2, 1914, in the Noland community, he was a son of the late George Washington Allison and Kathryn Slayton Allison. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Oglesby Allison of the home; two sons, Randy Allison of Sherman, Texas, and Doug and Debbie Allison of Keller, Texas; a daughter, Judy Evins of Jonesboro; a brother Marvin Allison of Memphis, and a sister, Fannie Hatterner of Troy, Illinois, eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Stan Little and Larry Brinkley officiating.
Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shawn and Zac Evins, Andy and Trey Swann, Shane Allison, Matt Hold, and Jason French. Honorary pallbearers were Norman Smith, Leon Childress, Rector Pace, W. T. Hawkins, and David Goff.
