United States World War I Army Soldier. He served in the United States Army during World war I as a Musician Second Class in the 138th Infantry Regiment, 35h Infantry Division.

Born on October 24, 1890 in McLeansboro, Hamilton County, Kentucky, he was the son of Thomas Lambert and Annette Alison (Holt) Jacobs. He entered the service from Missouri, and was killed in action in France when the tree under which he and the other members of his unit's band were resting was hit by shrapnel.
