Mrs. Taylor was a native of Alabama and was brought to Karnack, Texas by her husband Thomas Jefferson Taylor. Mr. Taylor eventually owned a small general store and 15,000 acres of cotton. He and Mrs. Taylor lived in "The Brick House" located about 2.7 miles south of Karnack on what is now TX Highway 43. That home was the birthplace of Lady Bird Johnson.
Mrs. Taylor's death certificate (provided by Vickie Everhart) shows her cause of death as "Septicemia following miscarriage (12 ds.).
