Louise was the daughter of John Quincy Adams and Rebecckah Holtzclaw Capps. She was born in Crab Orchard, Fayette County, Kentucky, but moved with her family to Clay County, Missouri when she was about two year old. She was fifth of thirteen children to be born to John and Rebecckah. She married William B. Hart on October 13, 1842 in Clay County, Missouri. She and William had three children before he died in 1855. Louise later married Thomas P. Malott on September 8, 1861 in Clay County. They were married for eleven years before her passing in 1872.
