Faulkton-Edward William Stammer, 84, Faulkton, died Friday, Sept. 14, 1990, at Kingbury Memorial Manor in Lake Preston.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Church of Faulkton, The Rev Gary W. Rae will officiate.
Burial will be in the Faulkton Cemetery under the direction of Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton.
There will be a Masonic service by Robert Hadrick at the church.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday morning to sign the register. There will be no viewing at any time.
Edward William Stammer was born June 1, 1906, at Casey, Iowa. His family moved to a farm near Miranda in 1910.
He married Leah Ford on Nov. 6, 1926, at Brookings. They made their home in Miranda, where he ran a truck line. They moved to Faulkton in 1936. He was a salesman for Kegler Implement and Fillbach Motor Company. He established the insurance agency at Faulkton and was a real estate broker.
He was a member of the United Church of Faulkton. He was past master of Faulkton Masonic Lodge No. 95 AF&M. He was a member of York Rite Bodies of Redfield, Yelduz Temple of the Shrine in Aberdeen and charter member of Lakeside Country Club in Faulkton. He served in various city offices, as Faulk County register of deeds and as mayor of Faulkton at one time.
He is survived by his wife.
He was preceded in death by one infant son and his parents.
