Mrs Michael TETZLOFF
The Funeral for Mrs. Elizabeth TETZLOFF of San Pierre was held at St. John's church in Cass Township Sunday afternoon, Rev. C.E. WIESS officiating.
Mrs. TETZLOFF was born January 26, 1846, at Kisselbach [Kieselbach], Germany. She came to America with her parents in her thirteenth year and located in Lafayette. In 1864 she was united in marriage to Michael TETZLOFF. This union was blessed with seven sons and five daughters. In 1865 the family moved to a farm in Cass township, where they made their home until 1903, moving to San Pierre. Mrs. TETZLOFF's death occurred last Thursday. For neary [nearly] forty-three years she suffered from chronic nervousness accompanied by spasms. A short service was held at the home in San Pierre Sunday afternoon after which the remains were taken to Cass township for service and burial.
She leaves her aged husband and children Michael Jr., Henry, Louis, Charles, Edward, August, Mrs. Emelia WILL of Norma [Norman], Okla.; Mrs. Ernestine MONTAGUE of San Pierre, 35 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; also one brother, Valentine STRANTZ of Chalmers.
